She said in a Facebook post: "It is with great sadness that I report the death of our friend, Lisa Loring. 4 Days ago she suffered a massive stroke brought on by smoking and high blood pressure.

"She had been on life support for 3 days. Yesterday, her family made the difficult decision to remove it and she passed last night.

"She is embedded in the tapestry that is pop culture and in our hearts always as Wednesday Addams.

"Beautiful, kind, a loving mother, Lisa’s legacy in the world of entertainment is huge.

"And the legacy for her family and friends — a wealth of humor, affection and love will long play in our memories. RIP, Lisa. Damn, girl…you were a ton of fun."

When was Lisa born?

The actress was born as Lisa Ann DeCinces in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands in 1958.

She also took part in The Phyllis Diller Show, The Girl from U.N.C.L.E., Fantasy Island, Barnaby Jones and As the World Turns.

Her last work was in the film Doctor Spine in 2015.

Daughter confirmed the death

Lisa's daughter Vanessa Foumberg confirmed the death to Variety.

“She went peacefully with both her daughters holding her hands,” Foumberg said.

Lisa took on the role in The Addams Family at just six years old and the show ran for two season from 1964 to 1966 with a total of 64 episodes.

Lisa went on to play the role as Wednesday in the 1977 television movie Halloween with the New Addams Family.

Lisa's good friend Laure Jacobson claimed that she died after a "massive stroke".
