WE ALL love Poundland but sometimes it can be hard to sort the treasure from the trash.

With almost everything costing just £1 it can be overwhelming to choose the cream of the crop from the clutter.

Enter Liyana Leena, a self-confessed Poundland, B&M and Home Bargains superfan who dedicates her time to visiting the bargain stores and working our what’s worth having, and what definitely isn’t.

Spending up to £500 a week at Poundland alone, the 33-year-old certainly knows her stock.

Speaking exclusively to Fabulous Birmingham based Liyana says, “Spring is here and summer is around the corner.

“There's lots of new things in stores and I went around my favourite bargain shops (as I do) to spot all the new finds as well as the best deals to bring you.”

Here she reveals her guide to snapping up the best bargains in Poundland and more this season…

Poundland

Poundland are smashing it with their summer range this year; they've definitely won when it comes to outdoor games and keeping the kids busy!

You can find a lot for a pound still, and even the items that are priced at £1.50 are still worth it.

If you're looking for the cheapest picnic and barbecue items, pool, toys and outdoor games, then Poundland is where you need to be.

You can get 8 bouncy balls for just £1, two pack of tennis balls for £1, a huge water gun for £1.50, and a bubble gun for £1.

If you head to the BBQ section you can grab bargains from three plastic wine glasses for £1 to four-pack of plastic bowls for £1.

Their BBQ spatula, fork and tongs are all £1.50 each, and you can get wipe clean table covers for £1 as well as an outdoor wine and glass holder for £1.

Poundland also has some really decent garden ornaments and decorations too.

My favourites have definitely got to be the miniatures, I collect them and this year they have some new nautical themed ones, all at £1 each.

Be careful with the ornaments; though they're cute and fab for the price, unfortunately many have had bad experiences with them crumbling away when left outdoors.

I was really surprised to see Sass and Belle planters in Poundland!! there's a few to choose from and all £1.50 as well! absolute bargain, especially as they typically cost around £7.50.

Home Bargains

If you're looking for good quality and good selection of products - particularly garden and outdoor, then Home Bargains is definitely worth a visit.

I saw more planters than I can count, lots of different sizes and types, both for indoor and outdoor use.

If you have an eye for design then Home Bargains is brimming with beautiful prints on plates and tumblers, from fun fruit designs to geometric and patterned ones.

They have a large Milano planter for £3.49, a large square rattan planter for £19.99, and a small square planter for £14.99 - among many others to choose from.

They’ve also got a potato basket for £7.99 which RRP at £12.99 and ou’ve also got some flower garden planters for £2.99 and lovely vintage / shabby chic watering can for £12.99.

I would head to Home Bargains over Poundland for picnic wear as they are better quality and with more interesting designs.

I was particularly pleased with the outdoor ornaments rabbits I bagged for £1.99, but if you’re after something a little quirkier you can take your pick from owls, £9.99 to fairy houses, £7.99.

Home Bargains also have the biggest range of artificial plants, wreaths and topiaries in. I found an artificial olive tree for £49.99, a 120cm artificial Yucca for £24.99 and a 30cm pink rose ball for £9.99.

Along with the gold bunnies I fell in love with this bird bath and couldn't get over the price!

£14.99 for a stunning bird bath of this size? This would easily be £30+ elsewhere. It had to go in my basket.

I also purchased the Jacquard outdoor rug for £17.99 - it comes in black and grey. I was really happy with the design, size and material.

B&M

If you love gonks B&M offer so many gonk and gnome garden items. They have these adorable gonks that hold an LED lantern for £15 and another for £12.

They have an amazing selection of bird nests, baths and feeders. There’s a bright red robin feeder for £5, an open nest teapot for £8, a floral glass feeder for £5 and a dome robin bird feeder at just £4.

I purchased one that has suction cups and you can attach to your window for a bit of live cat TV for my cats.

What sets B&M apart from competitors is the fact they stock outdoor cushions with prices starting at £10.

They have a huge selection in different ranges, I personally love the Eden range with greenery but there's also bright papaya prints. You can then match your items with the

same range in tumblers and plates staring at just £2 for a plate.

I have to say B&M had the best designs on plates, blankets, cushions etc but they did cost more than Poundland & Home Bargains.
