The View's Sunny Hostin reveals she dated major 80s sitcom star who dumped her for a friend
SUNNY Hostin has opened up about her romantic past and revealed the big 80s sitcom star she dated.
The View co-host got personal on Thursday's installment of The View: Behind the Table podcast.
Executive producer Brian Teta caught up with Sunny, 55, for their weekly chat on the podcast when he mentioned that he recently discovered that his colleague used to date a well-known actor.
He revealed that Sunny was romantically involved with The Cosby Show's Carl Anthony Payne, 54, who played Cockroach on the series.
"I hate that that was his name on the show. Yes, his name is Carl Anthony [Payne] in real life. I called him Anthony," Sunny noted.
"He was on [the sitcom] Martin. He directs now also. He's a working actor," the talk show host explained.

Sunny then detailed her relationship with the TV star, his co-stars on the show, and other big-name celebrities.
"I would hang out with Anthony and Malcolm-Jamal [Warner]," she said. "They were good friends with Chris Rock, so I actually hung out with Chris."
Brian then asked when their relationship came to be, to which Sunny replied it was the "late '80s."
"Okay, so he's on The Cosby Show at this point. Did you visit the set?" Brian prodded.

"Yes, I did. I met Bill Cosby. I met Phylicia Rashad. I still know her," Sunny said.
SUNNY'S HEARTBREAK
However, Sunny's relationship with Carl Anthony didn't have the most gracious ending, as the TV personality revealed he dumped her for her friend.
"He dumped me for someone else. It wasn't nice, actually," Sunny admitted.
"I had a friend named Anna who was really pretty, and as you know, I was a dancer...and Anna was also a dancer, and he broke up with me for Anna."
Brian then asked who she blamed for the split, but Sunny confessed there were no hard feelings.
"I didn't blame either. I was just like, wow, this is what people do. It was kind of shocking.
"But she was stunning. She was way cooler than I was...I wasn't as cool...I've bumped into him since...I think he thinks he made a mistake," Sunny speculated.

Carl Anthony has been married to Melika Payne since 1992, and they share one child, Landon, born in 1986.
Meanwhile, Sunny tied the knot with her husband Emmanuel Hostin in 1998, and they welcomed two children: Gabriel, 21, and Paloma, 17.
Sunny - who joined The View in 2016 - often talks about her family on the show.
